The Beginning

On July 8, 1989, the idea to have a family reunion was discussed
at the home of Audrey Peggy Jones.

In attendance were the late Archie Jones, late Donald Jones, Barbara Ann Brown, Marlene Jones, Janet Laverne Atwater,
late Jacqueline Wendy Jones, late Bertina Spence and Tracy Brown.

From the beginning, our desire was to come together as a family unit on a happy occasion. Since the first reunion on June 30, 1990, we have had reunions on
June 25, 1993, June 28, 1996, and June 27,1998.

Our next reunion is scheduled for June 26-28, 2009 when we will celebrate with festivity the Jones and to have a good time together doing it.

It has been a number of years since the descendants of Archer Eliash and Emily Jones last gathered together in Baltimore for a family reunion.

The 2009 Slogan is beginning developed by 2 of our young family committee members.
